A diaphragm has been provided on the top for seal
integrity. This format can be adjusted for a variety

like a container. This is an improvement from the old

This potato chip pack is a total revolution in printing
technology. High quality graphics have been obtained
in 8 colors with a unique abstract design in matte finish
by rotogravure process using special environmental
friendly Toluene/MEK free alcohol based inks with a
protective overcoat. A specially engraved cylinder has
been used for optimum protective lacquer coating with
a special matte effect, which has been achieved due to
a high technology matte finish film, and not the colors.
The high quality graphics make the pack stand out on

ShakerPAK™ is unique in that the bottom of the bag
has been replaced with an inside perforated layer for
dispensing. There are different configurations and sizes
of perforations depending on the size and consistency
of the products. Below the perforation is a press-toclose
zipper for recloseability. The package includes a
laser score tear strip for tamper evidence and product
protection. The consumer needs only to open the
package via the easy tear strip on the bottom of the
package, pull open the zipper, position the package over
the desired area with the easy-carry handle, and then
shake that package to dispense the product. This allows
the consumer to control where and how much product is
dispensed without actually coming into contact with the
product. The reclose feature protects the product from
moisture for future use/applications.

provided 8-color rotogravure-printed shrink sleeves
that incorporated screens of black over silver to create
a metallic appearance, resulting in eye-catching yet
cost effective packaging for Shamrock’s entry into this

The challenge was to eliminate two undesirable effects
common in high shrink labeling applications. The
customer’s main concerns were the “flowering” of the
label material around the neck of the container and
inconsistent shrink or “frowns” along the bottom of
the container. The elimination of the label deformities
improved the packaging line performance, with less
rejections, waste, and increased line-speeds. The item
transitioned from gravure to flexographic printing while
maintaining high quality graphics, reducing costs and
increased speed to market.
