2008 Flexible Packaging Achievement Award Winners
2008 Innovation Showcase
2007 Flexible Packaging Student Packaging Design Challenge Winners

The new generation of flexible packaging incorporates a myriad of material enhancements, technology and design improvements, and application advancements.  These features have resulted in innovative, flexible packages that increase consumer convenience and safety, provide diverse packaging options, and add value to the product.

Unique flexible packaging applications are creating new products including tea brewing wands and water bowl pouches for pets. Innovations in flexible packaging technology are providing new lidding options, strong repeat reclosure systems, and tear-stick packs that are child resistant.

These flexible packaging improvements have not only benefited consumers, but the environment as well. The sustainability achievements seen in the competition entries and winning packages have reduced the materials and energy used to manufacture final packages, while simultaneously reducing waste.

The Flexible Packaging Association congratulates the winners and thanks the companies that submitted entries into the 2008 FPA Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards competition! Special thanks are also given to the judging panel: Dr. Bruce Harte, Ph.D, Michigan State University School of Packaging; Michael Richmond, Ph.D, Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions; and Sean Riley, editor, PMT Magazine, for their generous time and expertise.
