Editor and Publisher Steve Forbes to Deliver Keynote Address

Editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine Steve Forbes will provide the keynote address “Navigating the Current Economy for Business Growth and Success” during the 2011 Annual Meeting Networking Luncheon on Friday, March 11, 2011. The luncheon will be held in conjunction with the 2011 FPA Annual Meeting (March 9-11, 2011).

The luncheon will conclude promptly at 1:00 p.m. and will be the closing event for the FPA Annual Meeting. This change in the Annual Meeting format replaces the Annual Meeting Dinner & Dance traditionally held on Friday night and will provide additional travel flexibility at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting. The Wednesday evening reception and dinner, and Thursday evening reception will remain as regularly scheduled.

			Steve Forbes, chairman and CEO of Forbes Inc. and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine, will share his insight on "Navigating the Current Economy for Business Growth and Success" with FPA members and sponsored guests. Under his personal guidance and leadership, Forbes has fostered the expansion of Forbes Inc. to include several divisions including Forbes Conference Group; Forbes Investors Advisory Institute; and Investopedia.com, the Internet’s leading online portal for investor education. The company’s flagship publication, Forbes, is the nation’s leading business magazine, with a circulation of more than 900,000.

			The 2011 FPA Annual Meeting will also feature Jeffery Ma, a former member of the MIT Blackjack Team and subject of the hit movie 21. Ma will discuss "The $100,000 Lesson: Business Lessons from the World of Blackjack" during General Session II on Friday, March 11, 2011. As a member of the MIT Blackjack Team, Jeffery created an ingenious method for counting cards – using talent, creativity, math, and teamwork to win millions in Vegas. With stories drawn from sports and from Vegas, Jeffery will help FPA members visualize how a more rigorous approach to numbers will improve results in everything from sales to HR to strategy. Jeffery has helped usher in what Newsweek calls “a new age of numbers in corporate America.”
	The 2011 FPA Annual Meeting will focus on key industry topics including open innovation, private equity, M&A activity, and flexible packaging material availability. Meeting presenters and panel discussions include: Gregory Myers, managing director for Mason Wells, who will discuss the Impact and Role of Private Equity on the Flexible Packaging Industry. Jon Ewing, managing director for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, who will discuss Merger and Acquisition Activity in the Flexible Packaging Industry. William Burke, president and COO of Nordenia USA and incoming FPA chairman, who will provide the 2011 Annual Meeting opening remarks and preview the 2011 State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report. Jan Homan, CEO of Constantia Flexibles and Flexible Packaging Europe chairman, who will provide an update on the European Flexible Packaging Market. Nick Vafiadis, polyolefins business director for CMAI, who will review current Trends and Opportunities in the Flexible Packaging Materials Market. Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturers panel discussion moderated by Brian Wagner, PTIS co-founder, on Open Innovation.

The 2011 FPA Annual Meeting will also provide great opportunities to interact with industry leaders and peers during several networking events including the 2011 Welcome & Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Dinner (March 9); the 2011 FPA Annual Meeting Golf Tournament and Thursday evening Networking Reception (March 10) and the Annual Meeting Networking Luncheon with keynote speaker Steve Forbes (March 11).

Suggested Dress:
For all general sessions, the Wednesday evening dinner, Thursday evening reception, and the luncheon on Friday, the attire is resort casual.
