FPA To Hold Second Annual Safety Conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Linthicum, MD, February 1, 2003 - The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) will hold its second annual Safety Conference titled "Incidence Free in 2003" at the Sofitel Chicago O'Hare Hotel on April 29 and 30, 2003.The conferences will feature presentations on Behavioral Based Safety, Compliance Inspection Preparation, Safety & Security After 9-11, Eary Difibrillation Programs, and Managing the Risks of Electrostatic Hazards.

FPA's Safety Conference is open to FPA members and nonmembers, and safety professionals and managers at both the corporate and plant levels are encouraged to attend. Registration is available online at www.flexpack.org. For more information, contact FPA at fpa@flexpack.org or (410) 694-0800.

The Flexible Packaging Association has served as the voice of the flexible packaging industry since the Association was established in 1950. Its members convert or supply the raw materials used to produce bags, pouches, labels, liners, wraps, rollstock, and other flexible products. Produced from paper, plastic film, aluminum foil, or any combination of those materials, flexible packaging is now the second largest segment of the U.S. packaging market. The $20 billion industry serves a multitude of end use markets including food, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, household goods, personal care products, pet food, lawn and garden supplies, and industrial applications.
