FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Linthicum, MD, September 22, 2001 - The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert B. Zaborowski to the position of Director for Business & Economic Research.

Most recently serving as a planning manager for J.M. Huber Corporation, Zaborowski has enjoyed a distinguished career in innovative planning and financial analysis. Zaborowski holds a BS in Chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, as well as an MS in Physical, Inorganic Chemistry from Michigan State University, and an MBA in Operation Research/Computer Science from Seton Hall University.

As Director of Business & Economic Research for the Flexible Packaging Association, Zaborowski will gather, analyze and disseminate industry and economic data to the members of the Association. He will also be responsible for producing FPA's annual State of the Industry Report, a comprehensive volume that takes a look at the economic trends of the $19 billion U.S. flexible packaging industry.

The Flexible Packaging Association has served as the voice of the flexible packaging industry since the Association was established in 1950. Its members convert or supply the raw materials used to produce bags, pouches, labels, liners, wraps, rollstock, and other flexible products. Produced from paper, plastic film, aluminum foil, or any combination of those materials, flexible packaging is now the second largest segment of the U.S. packaging market. The $19 billion industry serves a multitude of end use markets including food, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, household goods, personal care products, pet food, lawn and garden supplies, and industrial applications.
