Polyfil USA Breaks Ground on $12M Manufacturing Expansion

Polyfil USA has kicked off a $12 million redevelopment of its headquarters in Rockaway Township, NJ, marking a major investment in advanced manufacturing, innovation, and long-term growth in the plastics compounding industry. The project includes a 28,000-square-foot addition to the existing 59,000-square-foot facility, as well as a significant investment in state-of-the-art compounding equipment. The new wing of the facility is slated to be operational in 2027. The groundbreaking represents the culmination of years of vision and perseverance, according to Juan Castaneda, managing director of Polyfil. "When we first envisioned increasing our manufacturing space, we knew the road ahead would be challenging — government approvals, environmental regulations, and the complexity of the permitting process tested our resolve," Castaneda said.
