UFlex Opens WPP Bag Manufacturing Facility in Mexico

UFlex has started operations at its first woven polypropylene (WPP) bag manufacturing site outside India, with a new facility in Mexico. The company invested $52m in the plant, which covers ten acres in Altamira. The site forms part of its wider international expansion and adds to its manufacturing footprint in the Americas. According to UFlex, the plant was built to international standards for engineering, efficiency and sustainability. It uses European equipment and runs through low-noise and emission-free processes aligned with the company’s environmental, sustainability, and governance (ESG) framework. The facility includes a recycling unit and a zero solid waste discharge system aimed at improving material recovery, reducing waste and supporting disposal processes.
