William (Bill) Patrick Daly Obituary

Bill Daly was the President and owner of Beacon Converters for over 45 years, during which it evolved from a small bag company to a manufacturer of sterilization packaging. In 1994, Bill was one of the founders of the FPA's Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC) and served as its Chair from its inception through 2000. Under his guidance, the SPMC began standardizing commonly used test methods, first as an SPMC-published document and then through the ASTM International Standards organization. The SPMC also launched its Benchmarking Report, allowing members in the highly regulated healthcare space to benchmark their performance against peers.
